Louisville Fire News Release

The Louisville Fire has been plagued by injuries the last couple weeks to some of their key players. This week the Fire will get one of those guys back with offensive specialist (OS) James Scott returning after a two week stint on the injured reserve list following an injury to his foot in the Fire's 48-47 victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers.

"It is going to be nice to get another playmaker on the field. James has done some very good things for us on offense," said Fire Head Coach Tommy Johnson.

Scott has led the Fire this season in several receiving categories including receptions (64), receiving yards (801), touchdowns (16) and receiving yards per game (105.1). Scott broke three single game records for the Fire earlier this season in Memphis. In the May 8 game, Scott caught 14 passes totaling 201 yards and six touchdowns.

$1 NIGHT and TRADING CARDS

The Fire will hold their third of four dollar nights this Saturday. Fans can purchase Pepsi, popcorn, hot dogs, and Bud or Bud Light for $1 (hot dogs and beer will run through the end of the first quarter). Fans can also purchase tickets for $1 with a receipt from any Speedway location at the Freedom Hall box office. The Fire will also be giving away 1,500 sets of player trading cards courtesy of Speedway.

TONIGHT'S PRACTICE MOVED

The Fire's practice tonight has been moved to Champion's Baseball Academy on Plantside Drive. Practice will go from 8:00 – 9:30 tonight.

The Fire will be looking to avenge last week's 35-31 loss to the Peoria Pirates this Saturday in Freedom Hall. Kick-off is set for 7:30 pm and tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling 368-0009 or visiting Ticketmaster.com.
