Final roster released

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Tennessee Valley Vipers head coach, Chris Williams, released the 22-man roster today.

Quarterbacks are Roger Linn and Tony Colston. Ryan Schneider will start the season on short-term injured reserve while recovering from a shoulder injury.

Former Birmingham Steeldogs offensive specialist, Wayne Thomas, was assigned late last week and has made the team as an offensive specialist. Former Louisville Fire receiver, Torrey Day, could also see time at OS and WR/DB.

Terrence Jefferson and Clenton Rafe are on the roster as WR/DB while Reggie Glover and veteran Johnny Anderson are the WRs/LBs. Percy Coleman and Terrance Moore will both begin the season on long-term injured reserve.

Newcomer Eric Knott from Michigan State joins J.J. Barnett are set at the fullback/linebacker spot.

Joey Robinson, Travis Blanchard and former Vipers defensive back, Henry Freeman, are the defensive specialists. Chris Fowler has been placed on injured reserve.

Former Alabama defensive lineman, Ahmad Childress leads the offensive/defensive line. Joining Childress is Jimmi Henson, Mike Hobbs, Rashad Gibbs, Keith Turner, Tito Hannah, Kendrick Rogers, Jermaine Blakely and Shaheed Richardson.

The Vipers will sign a kicker by the end of the week. The team will open the season Saturday night at 7:30 against the Memphis Xplorers.
