Final homestand of 2004 packed with excitement
August 20, 2004 - Eastern League (EL1)
Connecticut Defenders News Release
The 2004 season is winding down, but there is still plenty of fun to be had at Dodd Stadium! The Navigators will return home on Tuesday, August 24th against the Binghamton Mets and conclude their home schedule on August 29th versus the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox affiliate).
On Saturday (8/28) is not to be missed. The first 1,000 kids through the gate will receive a backpack, courtesy of Walmart. That's right! For the price of a ticket, you get into the game and each child will recieve a brand spankin' new back pack for school! Pretty Cool!
Ever want to take something old and make it new again? Thursday (8/26) is your chance! The final Unused Ticket Night will allow you to exchange your unused 2004 tickets into a ticket for that nights game!
Friday Night (8/27) will be the final Chelsea Groton Fireworks Night of the 2004 season. It should not be missed! And don't forget you can use your BIG Y discount card at the ticket window on Sunday (8/29) for the season finale! Hope to see you all at the ball park a couple more times this season!
