Allen Wranglers News Release
ALLEN, TX-Aside from winning, the Allen Wranglers have a new goal in mind for their March 25th matchup against the Bricktown Brawlers: to fill the Zippy Shell.
The Wranglers are collecting donations for tsunami and earthquake relief efforts in Japan and asking the community for help in filling the Zippy Shell Mobile Storage unit. Any fan donating a minimum of five non-perishable items will receive a $5 merchandise voucher from the Wranglers. Vouchers are good for t-shirts, sweatshirts and other team memorabilia sold by the team at the game.
"We just want to do whatever we can to help," team vice president John Harris said.
Wrangler head coach Chris MacKeown echoed Harris' comments.
"Some things are more important than winning a football game," MacKeown said. "This is one of them."
The Zippy Shell Mobile Storage unit will be parked outside of the box office at the Allen Event Center before the Wranglers matchup against the Brawlers on March 25th. Fans are asked to bring their donations to the unit before the game in order to receive their merchandise voucher. The Wranglers are currently 1-0 against the Brawlers; kickoff is set for 7:35 p.m.
