Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release

PORT HURON, MI -- The Port Huron Fighting Falcons, proud members of the North American Hockey League, today announced the signing of defenseman Zach Feldman to a tender agreement for the 2013-2014 season. The tender agreement gives the Fighting Falcons Feldman's playing rights within the NAHL for next season.

A San Diego native, Feldman played this season for Cranbrook Kingswood High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where he won a Division 3 state title. Feldman led all Cranbrook defensemen with 30 points on 2 goals and 28 assists in 31 games.

"Zach is a great defenseman who got in some great experience winning a state title with Cranbrook," said Michael Gershon, head coach and general manager of the Port Huron Fighting Falcons. "As a leader on a championship team, he is a kid that knows what it takes to win."

Feldman is the third defenseman tendered by the Fighting Falcons for next season, and the tenth overall. The Fighting Falcons have signed tender agreements with players from nine different states.

The Fighting Falcons return to home ice Thursday, April 18 for game three of their North division semi-final matchup against the Soo Eagles. Children 12 and under can get in free with a paid adult (one free child per paid adult), and McMorran Arena will offer a hot dog and a small fountain drink for just $2.50. Game time is set for 7 p.m., and if necessary, game four would take place the following night.
