Fighting Falcons Look to Clinch Playoff Spot In

March 21, 2013 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Fighting Falcons, proud members of the North American Hockey League, will hit the road for a weekend series with the Janesville Jets, with a playoff berth in sight.

A weekend sweep of the Jets would clinch a playoff spot for the second consecutive season for the Fighting Falcons, who currently sit fifth in the North Division at 58 points. Only two points separate the Fighting Falcons from fourth-place Johnstown. The Jets will also be fighting for a playoff bid, as their 54 points put them in sixth place.

The Fighting Falcons will need to take advantage of the momentum they earned in last weekend's sweep of the first-place Soo Eagles, as they have won just one of their five matchups against Janesville this season.

Tyler Spezia earned a North Division Player of the Week honor after he scored six points on three goals and three assists in a weekend split in Janesville in February.

The teams will face off again Thursday, March 28, when the Fighting Falcons return to McMorran Arena. The Fighting Falcons will close out the regular season with a pair of games against the Michigan Warriors on March 29 and 30.

All tickets to Fighting Falcons home games are available at the McMorran Arena Box Office for just $7. 2013-14 season tickets are also on sale now for the low price of just $175. For more information, call the Fighting Falcons front office at (810) 966-3800.
