Fighting Falcons Announce $2,000 Attendance Promotion

August 14, 2013 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release

PORT HURON, MI - Fans of the Port Huron Fighting Falcons will have a chance to win $2,000 just for attending a home game as part of the team's newest promotion.

If the attendance for any Fighting Falcons home game during the 2013-14 season reaches or surpasses 2,000, one lucky fan will win $2,000 from the team!

"We've never run a promotion with such a big prize for a potential winner," said Fighting Falcons Director of Operations Mike Reed. "This promotion gives us the opportunity to reward our fans for spreading the word and bringing their friends and family along to a game.

"We know that McMorran Arena has hosted well over 2,000 fans for hockey games here in the past, as recently as when Coach Gershon was playing for the Icehawks, and we hope that this incentive helps us bring a new level of excitement to our games," Reed added.

Fans will have their first chance at $2,000 at the Fighting Falcons' home opener Saturday, September 28 against the Michigan Warriors. The one-time giveaway of $2,000 will be available the first time 2,000 fans attend a game. Once that goal is reached, the team will roll out new promotions for new attendance goals.

The best chance to win is to attend every game, so fans are encouraged to check out the team's season ticket packages, which start at just $175, or $6.25 per home game. A few game-worn Fighting Falcons jerseys remain available to fans that purchase two or more full-season packages.

The Fighting Falcons will hold a "Pick Your Seat Night" Wednesday, August 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This free event gives new and existing season ticket holders the chance to win the first replica of the team's new jerseys, which will be unveiled that night. Autographed equipment and the chance to drop the ceremonial first puck at the home opener will also be given away during the event.
