Fifth Third Field Ranked Among Top Ballparks

DAYTON, OHIO-The home of the Dayton Dragons, Fifth Third Field, has been selected by StadiumJourney.com as the 14th best ballpark among the 160 currently active in Minor League Baseball. The ranking, placing Fifth Third Field in the top 10 percent of all Minor League facilities, comes in the 16th year of the ballpark's operation.

The Dragons completed several ballpark upgrades in 2015. The organization added a 2,050 square foot, high-definition video board, providing the clearest picture quality of any board ever utilized in a Minor League Baseball venue. The video board is the tallest and widest in all of Single-A baseball and among the largest in any Minor League stadium. It has five times more display area than the previous video board at Fifth Third Field.

The Dragons also added the Milano's Tap Room on the first base side of the main concourse in 2015, featuring 10 craft beers and resembling popular Milano's restaurant locations in the Miami Valley. The Milano's Tap Room includes eight taps will some of the top craft beers from around the country and the world. It also includes a sampling of some of the best craft beers from the area, with two taps reserved only for showcasing those craft beers brewed in the Dayton area. The Milano's Tap Room includes a full brick wall, dark concrete floors, hightop wood tables, large-screen HD televisions, and the signature Milano's parquet wood bar.

The Dragons added the Monument Avenue BBQ Smoker in 2015, allowing BBQ items to be smoked on site in a huge Smoker on the third base side of the main concourse. Hickory-smoked barbeque favorites including Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, BBQ Ribs, Beef Brisket, and Mac-N-Cheese are now available.

The Dragons continued their longstanding commitment to quality family entertainment in 2015, featuring Dragons mascots Heater and Gem, the Green Team, and ballpark characters Wink, Roofman, ATMO, and Princess Sunny.

The Dragons finished the 2015 season with an attendance average of 8,212 per date and a season total of 574,830. The Dragons finished # 1 in attendance among all Single-A and Double-A teams for the 10th straight year. The Dragons 16 seasons of operation represent the top 16 single-season attendance totals in Single-A baseball history. Each of the Dragons home games in 2015 resulted in a sell-out, extending the Dragons sell-out streak to 1,121 consecutive games. Every Dragons game ever played at Fifth Third Field has been a sell-out.
