Fielding Issues Trip Up Skyhawks

AUGUSTA, N.J. - An eight run third inning boosted Les Capitales to a 14-3 win over the Sussex Skyhawks Wednesday night at Skylands Park.

Each team scored one run in the first, and in the top of the second, Les Capitales scored two runs following a pair of Skyhawks' errors to take a 3-1 lead. In the top of the third, Les Capitales Pierre-Luc LaForest scored following a double by Tony Lewis who then scored on a single by Patrick D'Aoust, making the score 5-1. Les Capitales added six more, including a home run by LaForest later in the inning.

James Kukucka pitched six innings giving up two runs strucking out four to earn his fourth win of the season for Les Capitales.

Off the bench Ryan Boelsen was one for two and Jesse Fuller had a pinch hit double for the Skyhawks.

The Skyhawks return to action Friday afternoon for the first of back-to-back doubleheaders against New Hampshire. Game one start time is 4:00, with Game two beginning about thirty minutes following the conclusion of Game one.
