Fever Inferno Dance Auditions To Be Conducted March 23

INDIANAPOLIS - Auditions for the Indiana Fever's Inferno dance team for 2008 will be conducted at Conseco Fieldhouse on Monday, March 23, from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. Pre-registration will be accepted until Friday, March 20. Walk-up registration may be conducted the night of the audition, from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m.

The Fever Inferno is a co-ed dance squad that performs at every Fever home game. Participants must be at least 14 years of age by March 23 in order to be eligible to audition. Proof of age will be required. All candidates must sign a release in order to participate. Participants under the age of 18 must provide a letter of permission from a parent or legal guardian, if aforementioned parent or legal guardian will not be present to sign the release at walk-up registration.

The Indiana Fever celebrates its 10th anniversary season in 2009. The Fever opens its 10th season at Atlanta on Saturday, June 6 (7:00 p.m.), and hosts the Minnesota Lynx on June 7 (7:00 p.m.) - exactly 10 years after the franchise was founded (June 7, 1999). Led by two-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time WNBA All-Star Tamika Catchings, Olympic silver medalist Tully Bevilaqua, 2008 WNBA Most Improved Player Ebony Hoffman and WNBA All-Stars Katie Douglas and Tammy Sutton-Brown, the Fever bids for its fifth consecutive playoff appearance in 2009.
