"Fear Factor" at Mudbugs Game on Saturday

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- This Saturday, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will host the Memphis RiverKings at 7:05 p.m. at the CenturyTel Center and the first-place matchup won't be the only exciting competition. During the first intermission of the game, the Mudbugs will host "Fear Factor," a version of NBC's popular reality game show.
As in the television program, contestants who have been selected in a drawing will be competing against one another in various stunts with prizes given to all participants. The Mudbugs "Fear Factor" competition will feature two men and two women each participating in one "water event" and one "eating contest." The grand prize winner will receive two tickets to a Dallas Stars game with hotel accommodations and $100 cash.
Saturday's game against Memphis is just one of three this weekend at the CenturyTel Center in a big homestand for the Mudbugs. On Friday, the Lubbock Cotton Kings will meet the Mudbugs at 7:05 p.m. for the first time this season. Then following Saturday's thrilling showdown with Memphis, the Mudbugs will host the Oklahoma City Blazers at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday. The third game was originally scheduled for February 12th, but was moved due to a conflict with the CenturyTel Center. All fans with tickets for the original February 12th date may use them for admission into Sunday's game.
Tomorrow, the Mudbugs will also host "Hockey 101 for Women" at 6:30 p.m. at the CenturyTel Center. Mudbugs players and staff will be on the ice to demonstrate the rules of the game to all ladies in attendance. Admission includes a tour of the Mudbugs locker room, food and drinks, and a question-and-answer session. To sign up for "Hockey 101 for Women," please call 377-7928.
