"It will be a difficult game to start off with," said FCE head coach Colin Miller about the Fall Season opener against Ottawa Fury FC. "I think if we can continue along the lines of the way we played against Carolina, especially offensively and in our attacking ways, we'll be in a good place."
The Eddies will hope to start off on the right foot against Ottawa, preferably the same foot that the club ended off the Spring Season with after recording a 6-1 victory over the Carolina RailHawks. The last time FC Edmonton faced off against Ottawa, it was the club's last away match of the Spring Season on May 31 and saw the Eddies fall in the last minute to the Fury off a Tom Heinemann header.
FC Edmonton will also have some fresh legs for the match having just signed central midfielder Cristian Raudales to help booster the Eddies attack.
"It's a real positive for us to have signed Cristian," said Miller. "The new addition well help freshen the group up for the season."
