EDMONTON, AB (May 22, 2015) - FC Edmonton (1W-2D-3L) will be playing their third game after a busy week against Atlanta Silverbacks (1W-5D-1L) in the North American Soccer League (NASL) at Clarke Field on Sunday, May 24 (2:00 pm MT KO). The match is presented by HUB International, for all your insurance and safety needs.

It was a heartbreaking week for the Eddies after dropping points against San Antonio Scorpions last weekend and bowing out of the Amway Canadian Championship against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Wednesday night.

"Sunday's match is a great opportunity to bounce back quickly from a disappointing result against the Whitecaps where we had some fantastic performances in the second half," FC Edmonton head coach Colin Miller explained. "[The match against Atlanta] is the last home game of the Spring Season and we need to get the three points. It won't be easy, Atlanta is very organized from what I've seen so we'll have to be at our very best. Hopefully we can get the same fans out pushing our team forward. They were fantastic on Wednesday night."

Kyle Porter and Dominic Oppong will be returning to Clarke Field once again. Porter and Oppong combined to play a total of 84 matches for the Eddies before departing ways with the club. Porter has made five appearances and Oppong has made six appearances so far for the Atlanta side.

The last time these two sides met, FC Edmonton registered a 2-1 victory over the Atlanta side at Clarke Field. Tomi Ameobi and Michael Nonni both registered goals in the first half. Bangura pulled one back for the Silverbacks 71 minutes into the mame but the Eddies defence held strong for all three points.

Daryl Fordyce scored both goals for the Eddies in their 3-2 loss to the San Antonio Scorpions last time out. A win for FC Edmonton on Sunday will level them on points with the Silverbacks with a game in hand still.
