
FC Dallas Signs Youth International Dominic Oduro

FRISCO, Texas (Friday, April 7, 2006) - FC Dallas announced today the signing of forward Dominic Oduro, who was selected by the Hoops with the 22nd overall pick in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft. A native of Ghana, Oduro will occupy the third of four youth international slots and will join the Developmental Roster to complete the team's 28-man squad.
The 20-year-old played two years of collegiate soccer at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he scored 18 goals in 41 games. In his first season, he was named the 2004 Colonial Athletic Conference Association Player of the Year and Third-Team All-American. In 2005, he played for the Richmond Kickers Futures in the Premier Developmental League (PDL) and led the team in scoring with 20 goals.
Oduro will be eligible for the game against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. and the Reserve Division game on Sunday, April 9 at 10 a.m.
