March 25, 2011 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
FC Dallas News Release
FRISCO, Texas (Friday, March 25) - FC Dallas (0-0-1) returns to MLS action tomorrow when they host the San Jose Earthquakes (0-1-0) at Pizza Hut Park. The match is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. CT.
Highlighting Saturday's match will be the midfield battle between two offensive powers, 2010 MLS MVP David Ferreira and 2010 MLS Golden Boot winner Chris Wondolowski. The game will also afford fans the opportunity to get a first look at 18-year-old Fabian Castillo, who recently joined FC Dallas from Deportivo Cali.
Several new fan activities were unveiled last Saturday as FC Dallas played the Chicago Fire to a 1-1 draw in front of a sellout crowd of 20,145 fans. Tomorrow's festivities begin with a March to the Match Tailgate at Londoner Frisco (5:30 p.m.). The March to the March, led by former U.S. Men's National Team head coach Gordon Jago, will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. After the ceremonial scarfing of Lamar Hunt's statue, fans can head over to the Beer Garden for $2 beers, $4 margaritas and $4 wine (from 6 p.m. through halftime).
Fans can catch U.S. Men's National Team action with the friendly against Argentina (6 p.m. CT on ESPN2) aired live on the big screens inside Pizza Hut Park and in The River Club by WinStar World Casino prior to kickoff.
Following kickoff, FC Dallas fans are encouraged to join the FCD Supporters during the 19th minute for 96 seconds of chanting. Chanting will start with "I Believe in FCD" followed by "Dallas 'Til I Die." The chant will conclude with "FC Dallas Ole Ole Ole."
