FRISCO, Texas (Wednesday, July 1, 2009) - FC Dallas in the Community provides information on upcoming FC Dallas Foundation and Community Relations activities. July's schedule of events includes FC Dallas players and coaches attending tryouts for the FCD Youth club, the continuation of the FC Dallas Foundation's Community Clinic Series and the team's involvement with this summer's ESPN Deportes Soccer Clinics. In August, the Foundation will host a Summer Santa Toy Drive at Pizza Hut Park, and all toys collected will be delivered to local hospitals by FCD players and staff members. FC DALLAS YOUTH TRYOUTS

Tryouts for the FC Dallas Youth club kick off at on Wednesday, July 1 on the Pizza Hut Park complex fields. Over 1,300 kids are expected to showcase their skills in an effort to join FCD's youth boys and girls select teams, ranging in age from under-11 to under-19. Players and coaches from the FC Dallas professional team will be on hand throughout Wednesday night's event, interacting with the FCD Youth hopefuls from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. FC Dallas Youth tryouts continue through Friday, July 3.

COMMUNITY CLINIC SERIES

The third installment of the FC Dallas Foundation's Community Clinic Series continues on Thursday, July 9 at the Lakewest Family YMCA in Dallas (3737 Goldman St.). The clinic, headed by Director of Youth Player Development Oscar Pareja, begins at 3 p.m. and the following FC Dallas players are scheduled to participate as instructors: Eric Avila, Blake Wagner, Michael Dello-Russo, Ray Burse, Bruno Guarda and Kyle Davies.

SUMMER SANTA TOY DRIVE

The FC Dallas Foundation will host a Summer Santa Toy Drive at the August 1 home game versus the Kansas City Wizards. Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy to any gate of entry will receive an autographed Pablo Ricchetti poster and a buy-one-get-one-free ticket voucher to the August 6 home game against the Houston Dynamo. All donated toys will be distributed to children at local hospitals by FC Dallas players and staff at a later date.

ESPN DEPORTES SOCCER CLINICS

FC Dallas will participate in the second annual ESPN Deportes Soccer Clinics to be held at various locations throughout the summer. FCD player(s) will attend each event to sign autographs and take photos with clinic participants. The first clinic is scheduled for Monday, July 13 at Richland College in Dallas (12800 Abrams Rd.). All clinics run from 6 to 8 p.m. and the full schedule can be found below. Visit www.espndeportesdallas.com for more information.
