FC Cincinnati News Release
CINCINNATI - FC Cincinnati's missing banner was returned anonymously this morning to UC Public Safety.
The banner was undamaged and will be re-hung in its rightful place later this week in time for the club's game against River Cities Cup rival, Louisville City FC, this Saturday. The team is working on re-installation details at this time and will share the information as it becomes available.
"We are happy the banner was returned and undamaged," said FCC President and General Manager, Jeff Berding. "We thank UC Public Safety and the media for their assistance in its recovery and we consider the case closed. Lastly, we want to thank the person who returned the banner for doing the right thing."
The banner of the winged lion completes a 14-piece set that sits on the upper eastside deck of Nippert Stadium.
"We had the banners put in place to add FCC color to the stadium and enhance the game day visuals for soccer fans," said Berding. "We hope that anyone who visits the stadium to enjoy an FCC soccer match will continue to show their enthusiasm in a respectful manner."
