Greenville, SC – The Greenville Groove fell to the Fayetteville Patriots, 93-68, in tonight at the BI-LO Center. The Patriots shot 52.9 percent (36-68) in their victory over the Groove.

Four Patriots had double figure nights, Jameel Watkins (18), Jeff Aubry (14), Terrell McIntyre (14), and William Sanders (17). Their defense held the Groove to 36 percent shooting from the field.

Greg Gray led the Groove with 16 points. Kevin Lyde and Brandon Kurtz also had double figure nights, with 15 and 12 points respectively. The Groove out rebounded the Patriots 43-36.

Fayetteville dominated on the inside, scoring 56 points in the paint to Greenville's 38.

Donald Hand went 5 of 9 on field goals and 2 for 4 of three point attempts to lead the Groove. Greg Jones and Kevin Lyde also had double scoring nights, have 14 and 10 points respectively. Brandon Kurtz led the team in rebounding with 10, and added 8 points.

The Groove shot 40-percent (27-68) from the field and the Riverdragon's shot 39-percent (25-64). Each team shot well at the line, both averaging over 70-percent for the night.

The Groove face Asheville on Thursday, November 21st. The team then travels to Fayetteville of Friday, November 22nd for a rematch of tonight's contest.
