Fast start propels Fury past PrairieThunder, 4-0

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Todd Robinson continued his rapid scoring pace Friday night by netting two goals and adding an assist to lead the Muskegon Fury to a 4-0 victory over Bloomington before 3,454 people at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

The Fury, who lead the United Hockey League with a 23-3 record, recorded its franchise-record eighth straight win. The loss dropped the PrairieThunder's record to 8-16 ahead of tonight's 7:30 Western Conference game at Rockford.

Robinson, who leads the UHL in goals scored and points, scored his first goal 4:18 into the first period off assists by Mike Watt and Rustyn Dolyny. The Fury took a 2-0 lead two minutes on a goal by Dolyny. He was assisted by Watt and Robinson.

Neither team scored in the second period, but the Fury added two more goals in the third period. Robinson scored his 23rd goal of the year at the 16-minute mark. He was assisted by Justin Coutu and Dolyny. Robinson has scored 55 points this season.

Muskegon's final tally came on Philippe Plante's goal three minutes later off an assist by Evan Kotsopoulos. The PrairieThunder outshot the Fury, 35-31.
