The Waterloo Black Hawks and Sioux Falls Stampede combined for seven goals and 52 penalty minutes, just in the third period, as the visitors pulled off a 6-4 win at Young Arena.

The Stampede had built a 3-0 lead in the first 40 minutes. Bryan Moore and Andrew Prochno scored in the opening period, and Ryan Jacobson added a goal in the second.

Tyler Zepeda opened the Black Hawks rally with a goal 52 seconds into the third. Prochno and Christian Isackson scored in short succession just past the five minute mark, extending the Stampede lead to 5-1. Waterloo got the next three from Aaron Pearce, Mike Montagna, and Tyson Fulton, with the first and third goals of the run on the power play. Mixed in was a fight and three ten-minute misconduct penalties. Down a goal with over three minutes remaining, the Hawks could not complete the comeback, with Connor Reilly sealing the decision at 17:05 of the third.

Waterloo hosts another Siouxland opponent when the Sioux City Musketeers visit Young Arena Friday at 7:05.
