Fans to Enjoy $1 Beers at Every 2016 Spikes Home Playoff Game

STATE COLLEGE, PA - State College Spikes fans are used to $1 beers from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, presented by BIG Froggy 101. Now, with the playoffs here, fans can join the celebration with $1 Beer Nights at every single Spikes home game in the 2016 New York-Penn League Playoffs.

Each Spikes home playoff game will feature $1 12-oz. domestic draft beers for fans 21 and up from 6-8 p.m. for a 7:05 p.m. home contest from Monday through Saturday. Should the Spikes host a Sunday game during the playoffs, the $1 beer special would run from 5-7 p.m., with a 6:05 p.m. first pitch.

"Our fans have shown time and time again that they are the best in Minor League Baseball, and this is just another way of showing our appreciation," said Spikes General Manager Scott Walker. "Fans 21 and up can be assured of enjoying championship baseball as well as dollar brews as we hunt down a New York-Penn League title."

The Spikes can wrap up the best-of-three New York-Penn League Semifinal Series on Thursday night when they host the Staten Island Yankees at 7:05 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park for Game Two. Game Three of the series, if necessary, would be played at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Friday at 7:05 p.m.

The Spikes would also host Games Two and Three of the NYPL Championship Series, should they progress that far. Complete schedule information is available on the Playoff Central page at StateCollegeSpikes.com.

Fans can still purchase Spikes Four-Game Playoff Packs so as not to miss any of the postseason fun. Playoff Packs start as low as just $16 per seat and include a $4 per game savings off the single-game price. In addition, each seat purchased as part of a Four-Game Playoff Pack will come with a free, limited-edition Spikes Rally Towel while supplies last.

Fans can purchase Four-Game Playoff Packs, as well as individual playoff game tickets, by visiting the Spikes Ticket Office at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, or by calling (814) 272-1711 during normal Ticket Office hours (9 a.m. to end of game on game days Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to end of game on game days Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on non-game days Monday-Friday).

Individual playoff game tickets are also available to buy and download at StateCollegeSpikes.com as the Spikes are #BackInTheHunt, presented by Lion Country Kia and HRI, Inc., as they seek a second NYPL championship in the last three seasons.
