Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

Fargo (ND) Everyone knows of someone who regales them with stories of how they were a "hockey legend" back in their day, and if not for some phantom injury -or other excuse- they would've played in the pros. Well, for all those out there who think they have what it takes or simply want to have a little extra fun on Friday night the Fargo-Moorhead Jets hockey team is offering a very unique opportunity.

Following the FM Jets game against their arch-rivals the Bismarck Bobcats at 7:05pm at the Carlson Coliseum on Friday night, fans will have the chance to take a shot on one of the team's goaltenders. For only $1, a fan will get two cracks at putting the puck past either B.J. O'Brien (Lakeville, MN) or Elliot Okland (Fargo, ND).

O'Brien has the third lowest goals against average in the North American Hockey League, while Okland -a Fargo North senior - is 5-4-0 this year and having a strong second season in junior A hockey.

Pucks and sticks will be provided by the FM Jets, and fans of all ages are more than welcome to take part in this once in a lifetime chance. Fans are asked to NOT bring skates to participate.

The FM Jets will also be presenting a more traditional post-game skate following the team's 7:05pm home game against the Billings Bulls on Saturday night

The FM Jets are the 2005 Borne Cup Champions and are in their third season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 30th year of operation.

Jets home games are played at the John E. Carlson Coliseum in Fargo, ND. All games are broadcast at 103.9 THE TRUCK and fmjets.com.
