
FanFest '07 Coming This Sunday

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning of the arenafootball2 league will host "FanFest '07" this Sunday, March 25 at Stockton Arena, beginning at Noon.
This year's FanFest event is sponsored by Comcast, 104.1 The Hawk, St. Joseph's Medical Center, Port of Stockton California, Valley Brew and The Record.
Serving as the kickoff event to the countdown for the Lightning season opener, all fans will be admitted for free to Stockton Arena and will be treated to player autograph sessions, an "Arena Football 101" on-field simulation session hosted by Lightning head coach Doug Murray and players, on-field performances by the "Shockwave" dance team, locker room tours and more.
Fans will also have their first chance to purchase individual game tickets in-person for all Lightning home games, with the Stockton Arena Ticket Office windows opening at Noon.
Listed below is an itinerary of Sunday's events (times subject to change):
* Noon (Ticket Office): Individual tickets for 2007 go on sale, doors open
* 1:00 p.m. (field): "Shockwave" on-field performance (1 of 2)
* 1:15 p.m. (field): Individual player introductions
* 1:30 p.m. (field): "Arena Football 101" play simulation by head coach Doug Murray and Lightning players
* 2:00 p.m. (field): "Shockwave" on-field performance (2 of 2)
* 2:15 p.m. (field): Autograph session begins - Lightning players and "Shockwave"
* 2: 30 p.m. (event level): Lightning locker room, training room "open house" tours begin
Stockton opens the 2007 af2 season on Saturday, March 31 with a road matchup against the defending ArenaCup Champion Spokane Shock, beginning at 5:00 p.m. PT. The Lightning open the 2007 home schedule against the local rival Central Valley Coyotes on Saturday, April 14, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
In their first season, the Lightning ranked third in af2 attendance with an average of 7,445 fans per home game. Season tickets for the 2007 Lightning regular season are on sale now.
