af2 teams up with YourSportFan.com to create online interactive fan network

Published on March 21, 2007 under arenafootball2 (af2) News Release

CHICAGO - The arenafootball2 league and YourSportsFan.com have teamed up on a partnership that designates YourSportFan.com as the official social networking Web site for af2's faithful and far-reaching fan community.

The new online network can be found at http://www.YourSportsFan.com/af2. Fans can register on the site for FREE.

Thanks to YSF's social networking technologies, af2 fans will be able to create personalized fan pages with official af2 team logos and colors.

"We're excited about teaming up with YourSportsFan.com on this unique project," af2 President Jerry Kurz said. "YSF has designed a special social networking medium specifically for our passionate fan base, and we believe our fans are going to enjoy this new forum where they can interact with each other online. It's my space, it's your space, and it's our space."

Fans who register for the YourSportsFan.com site will also have the ability to write blogs, participate in discussion forums, post photos and video, and even upload their own podcasts. The site's best feature, however, is that it provides af2 fans their own online community where they can interact with each other and form positive relationships. There will also be opportunities for team players, coaches and staff members to be a part of the fun and communicate with fans.

"We are pleased to provide our social networking platform to arena football fans as a new way to experience their favorite game," said YourSportsFan.com's Chief Technology Officer, Manuel de Joya. "Arena Football fans will be able to take their online experience to a whole new level," he added. "They can stay connected to their teams and other af2 fans, long after game day is over."
