Fan Favorite Returns to Albany

( Albany , NY ) - The Albany Patroons announced today the return of fan favorite Nat Burton for the 2008-09 CBA season. Per team rules, terms of the contract are confidential and are pending league approval.

The Georgetown alum had an outstanding season for the Patroons this past season. Burton averaged 22.0 ppg., good for fourth in the CBA and shot 53.1% from the field. Burton showed his steady all around game with 5.3 rebounds a game this year in Albany . Burton exploded for a league and season high 46 points against the then Oklahoma Cavalry on the final day of the 2007-08 season.

"Nat is a fine player who I am glad to have back in Albany ," said Patroons Head Coach Derrick Rowland. "Nat contributes in so many different ways and areas that he causes match-up problems for our opponents."

"I am glad to be back in Albany ," stated Burton . "I enjoyed my time there last season and I look forward to having a successful season. Coach has many great players already signed and I just want to come in and contribute to the team."

The Patroons season kicks off on December 12 when former Patroons head coach Micheal Ray Richardson makes his return to the Washington Avenue Armory as his Cavalry look to defend their CBA Championship.
