Rome Renegades News Release
ROME, Ga. - The Rome Renegades and the Raleigh Rebels will meet for the first time this Friday, May 5th, at The Forum. However, even though they have never played, both teams are very familiar with one another. This is because the owners of the Renegades also own the Raleigh Rebels. "This is definitely a unique situation facing a team in your own organization, but at the end of the day it is just another game," says Renegades Head Coach and Owner David Humphreys. The Renegades (8-1) are currently sitting atop the American Indoor Football League's Southern Conference, while the Rebels (5-3) are in third place. " I am really looking forward to seeing the two teams battle it out this weekend. After seeing all of the teams in the Southern Division", says Renegades and Rebels Owner Harry Pierce. " I think that players from both teams are pumped up to start this rivalry," added Pierce.
Friday Night is team trading card night presented by Pro Performance. The first 500 Renegades Fans to enter the game will receive a pack of Rome Renegades Trading Cards, which include a free kickboxing class coupon or a free personal training session coupon from Pro Performance! Doors open at 6pm and Kick-off is at 7pm. Tickets are available at The Forum box office or by calling The Forum at 706-291-5281.
