The Kelowna Falcons won their 5th straight ballgame with a 9-0 victory over the Walla Walla Sweets in front of 1524 fans Friday night at Elks Stadium.

The Falcons jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Justin Flores picked up an RBI on a Fielder's Choice, and Brandon Oliver doubled down the right field line to score a pair.

Cooper Powell settled down on the mound for the Sweets after the opening inning, only allowing a Justin Flores RBI single in the next four innings. He would allow 4 earned runs over 5 innings.

Kelowna added another run in the 6th inning when Andre Jackson scored Vinny Esposito with a base knock.

Then in the 7th, the Falcons added 4 more runs as JJ Muno drew a bases loaded walk, and Jackson followed that by clearing the bases with a double down the line. Jackson finished 2-3 with 4 RBI's.

Michael Koval worked 4 shutout innings for the Falcons, before giving way to Jayse Bannister, who impressed again with another 4 inning performance of shutout ball, picking up his 4th win.

Bannister escaped a pair of bases loaded jams in his outing, as the Sweets stranded 15 runners on base in the ball game.

Dalton Blackwell struck out the side in the 9th.

Lane Lacrone and Hunter Villanueva each picked up a pair of hits in the ballgame.

The Falcons and Sweets continue their series with a 6:35 start on RETRO BEER NIGHT on Saturday, and complete it Sunday at 6:05 at Elks Stadium.
