
Fairfield Broadcasting's Robert Ford Named Frontier League Broadcaster of the Year

KALAMAZOO- Fairfield Broadcasting Company's Robert Ford has been named Broadcaster of the Year by the Frontier League of Baseball.
Ford spent this past summer working with Sports Director Ryan Maguire as a play-by-play voice of Kalamazoo Kings Baseball on AM 1660 WQSN. Frontier League Commissioner Bill Lee made the announcement this past weekend.
"We're very proud of all that Rob has been able to accomplish in a very short period of time in Kalamazoo." Said Maguire. "He's got a special talent in calling baseball. It was a privilege to have worked with him over this past summer on Kings games and we're looking forward to an even better 2004."
Ford will continue his employment with Fairfield Broadcasting in the baseball off-season. He currently serves as an afternoon news anchor and reporter on AM 590 WKZO. In the fall and winter he will be a featured voice of Kalamazoo Christian High School Football and Basketball on AM 1470 WKLZ.
Ford will also work alongside Maguire on Kalamazoo College Football and Basketball Broadcasts on AM 1470 WKLZ as well. Both Ford and Maguire will be back in the booth calling Kings games on WQSN in the 2004 season.
Robert Ford is a New York City Native and graduate of Syracuse (NY) University. Fairfield Broadcasting hired Ford in February of 2003 after he served as the play-by-play voice of the Class A Yakima Bears in the Northwest League.
