Bloomington Extreme News Release

Peter Christofilakos of the Bloomington Extreme leads all kickers in scoring the United Indoor Football League with 103 points, according to league statistics released Monday.

Christofilakos, who has appeared in more games (41) than any other player in the Extreme's three-year history, has converted 52 of 59 extra point kicks, while making 17 of 33 field goal attempts for 103 points. He averages 9.4 points per game, which also ranks first.

The former University of Illinois kicker ranks first in the league in field goal percentage (51.5). He ranks second in points-after-touchdown kicking percentage at 88.1.

Christofilakos isn't the only Extreme player ranked among the league leaders as the team prepares to face Omaha in a 7:05 p.m. contest Saturday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. The Extreme leads the Eastern Division with a 6-6 record and has already clinched a berth in the post-season playoffs.

Defensive lineman Quince Holman ranks sixth in the league in tackles with 67.5 points on 45 solo and 45 assists. He also is tied for second in quarterback sacks with an average of 6.5 per game. He has ix unassisted and one assist for minus 31 yards.

Extreme quarterback Dusty Burk is second in passing and total offense. He averages 195.4 yards on 189 completions in 318 attempts. He ranks ninth in rushing with 236 yards to give him 2,385 yards in total offense. Burk also is second with 40 touchdown passes.

Wide receiver James Walton leads all receivers with 24 touchdown catches and 906 yards on 71 catches. He needs eight more receptions to surpass Reggie Gray's club record of 78 receptions in a season that was set last season.

Walton, who is second in the UIF in receiving yards per game at 75.5, needs just 82 yards to break the team record of 987 he set a year ago.

Teammate Derin Graham is sixth in the league in receptions per game at 4.75, while Walton is second at 5.92.

The Extreme, which has two games remaining including Saturday's contest, can clinch a share of the Eastern Division title and earn a bye in the first round of the playoffs with a victory over Omaha.

The Beef has a 9-3 record and stands second in the Western Division standings behind three-time defending UIF champion Sioux Falls. Bloomington concludes its regular season at Sioux Falls on June 14.

The Extreme and Beef has met twice this season with Omaha registering a 52-45 victory in Omaha and a 47-29 triumph in Bloomington.
