Extreme Sign Defensive Leader And Star Wide Receiver

BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - The Bloomington Extreme announce the signing of Wide Receiver Harry Lewis II and Defensive Lineman Antonio Ficklin.

Harry Lewis II, 6'2" 205lbs. - Wide Reciever that began his collegiate career at the University of North Carolina prior to transferring to the University of Louisville has signed to play with the Extreme for the 2010 season. Lewis II has spent the previous four seasons playing with the Lexington/Kentucky Horseman of the UIF and AF2. In 2009, as a member of the AF2's Horseman, Lewis II caught 94 passes for 1,355 yards to go along with 24 touchdowns. Over the course of his professional career, Lewis II has compiled 317 receptions for 4,055 yards and 75 touchdowns. In addition to his receiving statistics, Lewis II has completed 19 passes out of 36 attempts for 4 touchdowns and has accumulated 180 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.

Antonio Ficklin, 6'2" 275 lbs. - Defensive Lineman from San Jose State University returns to the Extreme for his second season with the team. During the 2009 campaign, Ficklin recorded 42 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and 9 sacks, to go along with 2 forced fumbles and 2 passes broken up. Ficklin began his career as a fullback with the San Francisco 49ers before moving on to the Detroit Lions (both of the NFL) and the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. While at San Jose State University, Ficklin recorded 122 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, 12 sacks, three fumble recoveries, one interception and one defensive touchdown on his way to being named First-Team All-WAC as a junior.

"Harry Lewis II is one of the most exciting Wide Receivers in the indoor game. He's a versatile player that will give us a lot of flexibility with our roster and offensive playbook." The Bloomington Extreme will play seven home games at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in 2010. The regular season kicks off March 6 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum as the Extreme will host the expansion Richmond (VA.) Revolution.
