July 10, 2007 - United Indoor Football Association (UIF)
Bloomington Extreme News Release

The Bloomington Extreme of the United Indoor Football League drew 1,034 more fans for eight games at U.S. Cellular Coliseum this season. The Extreme drew 44,754 fans this year compared to 43,723 a year ago.

An average of 5,594 people filed through the Coliseum doors this year compared to an average of 5,465 last year. With one week left in the regular season, the Extreme leads the league in overall and average attendance.

The Extreme, which is finished with its home schedule, has attracted the top seven crowds among the 11 United Indoor Football teams to games this year. Bloomington also owns eight of the top nine single-game crowds.

The Extreme's best crowd was May 19 against Ohio Valley when a league-high 6,387 people witnessed a Bloomington victory. The Extreme drew at least 5,000 fans to all its games. The smallest crowd to see an Extreme game was 5,071 on April 21.

Sioux City is the only other team in the league to draw at least 5,000 fans to a game and the Bandits did it twice.

The Extreme closes out the regular season Saturday (July 14) at 7:05 p.m. against Eastern Conference rival Evansville at Roberts Stadium. The Extreme, which is shooting for the No. 3 seed in the post-season conference playoffs, has a 7-7 record. Evansville is 5-9.
