Luke Wickman, 6'3" 325 lbs. Offensive Center from Western Illinois played for the Extreme from 2007-2009 starting in all 46 games. He was a two-year letterman in college at Western Illinois after transferring from Monmouth College where he started 20 games. The Havana, IL native started six games as a junior at Western Illinois and helped the Leathernecks lead the Gateway Conference in passing offense. He started nine games as a senior and was a member of an offensive line that helped produce a 1,400 yard rusher.
Chad Walker, 6'5" 365 Offensive Guard from Western Illinois, where he started 45 games and garnered the honors of 2nd Team All-Gateway Conference and Football Gazette's D I-AA All Region Team in 2005 and All-Gateway Conference honors again in 2006. Walker played in all 15 games during the 2007 season for the Bloomington Extreme and spent the 2008 season with the Peoria Pirates of the AF2. The Peoria Woodruff High School product has never missed a snap in any season he has played.
Jacoby Collins, 6'5" 350 lbs. Offensive Guard comes from Southern University, members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, located in Baton Rouge, LA. While playing for the Jaguars of Southern University, Opelousas, LA was a Defensive Lineman during his first 3 years, prior to moving to offensive line his senior season. Collins began the 2010 football season with the Utah Blaze of the AFL prior to joining the Extreme midway through the season. Collins was on the Extreme 30-man roster once joining the team, but did not participate in a game.
"Winning football teams at all levels have strong lines - both offensive and defensive lines" states Head Coach Mike Murray. "Luke, Chad, and Jacoby are all proven football players that add size and talent to a very solid group of lineman we have returning. These guys will enable Luke the time to get the ball into the hands of our skill position players we have. Obviously the goal on offense is to put a lot of points on the board and it all starts with the offensive line."
The Bloomington Extreme will hold an open tryout this Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 9am-12pm at Illinois Wesleyan's Shirk Center. Registration is begins at 8 am and the cost is $50 to participate.
