Express Invite Two To Join Summer Team

June 11, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Jersey Express News Release

Newark, NJ. Express tryout camp draws invitation for two. The ABA Newark Express will invite Phillipe Slater and Erick Rosa to join its summer touring team.

Born and raised in Newark, NJ Phillipe played high school basketball for University High and college for Rutgers-Newark, both in Newark. "Phillipe is a solid point guard that we'll take a strong look at over the summer," stated co-owner Marsha Blount.

Rosa played 4 years of high school ball for Montclair High School. A true 2 guard, Erick plays both ends of the floor well. He takes pride in defending and can hit the mid-range pull-up with ease.

Both players will have an opportunity to showcase their skills during several benefit and charity games during the summer. The first one will be on June 23rd @ Rutgers-Newark, when the Express join the Family Support Organization of Essex County and take on the Harlem Wizards. The benefit game will begin at 12noon in the Dom on the campus of Rutgers-Newark. For tickets and information, contact Ms. Oliver at 973 395 1441.
