Express Hold Final Open Tryout

Reading, Pa. (January 12, 2012) - The Reading Express will be holding their final Open Tryout for the 2012 season. The tryout will be held at the Sinking Spring Family YMCA,

the official training facility of the Reading Express on Saturday, January 14. This tryout will be held in conjunction with the Re-Grand Opening event at the YMCA. The YMCA festivities

will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a live radio remote. Express players, coaches, Steam Team members and Caboose will be on hand to participate in the event.

Registration for the tryout will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm with the work out starting at 2:00 p.m. "We already have a lot of great talent signed," said new Head Coach Mark Steinmeyer.

"It is going to be a difficult process to select the best of the best" he added.

Express coaches will be using various exercises to evaluate players, including:

. 40-yard Dash

. Short Shuttle

. Vertical Leap

. Bench Press

. Three Cone Drill

. Standing Broad Jump

. One-on-One Play

. Eight-on-Eight Play

. Offensive & Defensive Drills

The Reading Express are one of the premier organizations in indoor professional football. The team has played a total of 100 games over the last six seasons. The Express have compiled an impressive 73-27 record, en route to five division championships, two conference championships and the 2009 AIFA National Championship. In their first season in the IFL, the team captured the Atlantic Division title and advanced to the second-round of the IFL Playoffs.
