Monroe, Washington - May 22nd 2009 - The Snohomish County Explosion add one of the most effective offensive players ever to play in the IBL to the Explosion roster Friday morning. Antone will join the current IBL's leading scorers Devon Greene, and All Star level forward Richard Ford for this weekend's showdown in Canada. Antone played last year for the IBL Edmonton Chill so this weekend the home coming is renewed playing against his former head coach.
This 2005 Big Sky Conference Champion played for Portland State and is just back from the Torreon - Mexican league. Jarrell is a very athletic and talented player who competes at both ends of the floor, and with his long arms, he is also an excellent shot blocker. Antone has a tremendous upside as a basketball player - he is 6'7", is extremely long, wears a size 18 shoe and has an outstanding basketball body.
Additionally, Antone is a natural leader, and is an extremely personable and intelligent man. In his professional basketball debut in 2005 with the IBL Chinooks, Antone averaged 19ppg, 13rpg and 8apg off the bench. He averaged 18ppg, 15rpg and 9apg in the 2006 IBL season. In the 2007 IBL season he averaged 27 ppg, 11 rpg, 3 assists and 2 blocks. He owns the single game scoring record in league history with 70 points on June 23, 2007.
Antone is a versatile wingman. He is a deceptive looking player, is a great spot shooter and can handle the ball extremely well in the open court.
Antone is a player with great fundamentals and has excellent footwork. His defensive game is solid and he always guards the best player on the floor. He is capable of guarding the 1 through 4 spots. Antone has a tremendous upside as a basketball player - he is 6'7", is extremely long, wears a size 18 shoe and has an outstanding basketball body.
