Explosion Releases NBA size 2009 Roster

Snohomish County Explosion News Release


The Snohomish County Explosion begin the transformation of the new look Explosion under two time player, and now head coach Chris Weakley on the road in Oregon April 11th against the USA All-Stars. The Explosion then look to come home on April 18th, on McGough Court at the Monroe Sport Arena against Seattle. Seattle has never won a game against the Explosion in six contests and new coach Weakley expects to continue that tradition. "Right now, the team is just focused on winning, said Weakley. "We're taking it to a new level."

On Thursday March 19th, during the Explosion live press conference General Manager, Sean Keck, released the roster for the 2009 campaign. Nine new players will be on the team with one returning player from the 2008 squad Troy Gwynn. The Explosion look to start with a huge advantage over other IBL teams in height with a NBA size starting lineup of; 7-2 center Brad Kanis , 6-11 power forward Jeffery Day, 6-9 small forward Richard Ford, 6-6 shooting guard Devon Green, and a 5-11 point guard. The IBL teams in 2008 averaged just six feet five inches per team roster so the Explosion have a huge advantage to start the season.
