NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Ben Paulsen made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut last night for the Colorado Rockies. The 2007 Keene Swamp Bat went 2-for-4, with two singles, in Colorado's 7-2 loss to the Washington Nationals.
Paulsen is the sixth NECBL graduate to make his Big League debut this season. He becomes the 46th to play in the M ajors this year and the 105th to reach the Bigs.
Paulsen's debut also marks the 10th straight year where at least a half-dozen NECBL graduates made their Major League debut.

He was a PCL All-Star this season, an MiLB.com Organizational All-Star in 2013 and a Texas League All-Star in both 2011 and 2012.
Paulsen appeared in 18 games, all starts, for the 2007 Keene Swamp Bats. He hit .318 with two homers and 11 RBI. His average was second best on the team.
The NECBL congratulates Ben for this significant accomplishment.
