Everything You Need to Know Ahead of Friday's Road Clash at York United

Atletico Ottawa News Release
Atlético Ottawa head on the road for the first time this season as they travel to fifth-placed York United on Friday.
Looking to bounce back from his first defeat of the season Head Coach Carlos González explained that although the result was painful, he didn't believe it was an accurate representation of what his team can offer. "We've analyzed what went wrong to make sure we improve and that never happens again," he said. "I feel the team are getting again their good attitude to fight again for another three points and give the image we gave in the first two games."
"We need to every player to take one step forward, to show personality and to show everyone that last weekend we had a big mistake, but that's all it was. A mistake. We need to show we're an ambitious team and, as this is nice as words but it's time to show them as acts."
Although González is keen to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible, he isn't underestimating the challenge that York United poses. "They're compact, having only conceded two goals this season and they're a team who's momentum is growing," said the 35-year-old. "I don't think there will be an easy game this season as the level [of all the teams] is quite equal. We will have a tough game in York but I trust in my team and my players."
Getting back to work after a defeat is never easy but according to Nathan Ingham the mentality within the group has been key in getting ready for Friday's encounter with his former side. "We've reset after the last match and gone back to our basics, getting the group together," he explained. "You have to have a short term memory in this profession. We took 24 hours and now its all eyes on York and we've had a very good week of training."
Player to Watch: Malcolm Shaw
Whether he's in the starting line-up or coming in off the bench, Shaw has enjoyed this fixture more than any other Atleti player. In fact, the 26-year-old has put away three of the seven goals scored against York United.

This entertaining fixture has ended in a draw five times but there have been at least two goals scored in every game.

Carl Haworth has begun training with the group but is currently being assessed day-to-day. No decision has yet been made as to whether he will travel with the group for Friday.
