Everybody Pitches in as AirHogs Beat Lemurs

Grand Prairie- The Grand Prairie AirHogs all contributed in a team effort to down the Laredo Lemurs 8-3 Tuesday night at QuikTrip Park. In fact all eight runs were scored by a different member of the team. The runs also came from the long ball as three players homered for the AirHogs. Keanon Simon led off the bottom of the first with a solo shot, his first of the year. In the second inning, Frazier Hall had his first of the season with a two-run homer. Finally in the third inning Brandon Pinckney went deep for his second of the year. Pinckney also had a single that drove in two in the bottom of the eighth. The AirHogs combined for 11 hits with everbody registering at least a hit in the game.

Newcomer Jorge Lugo received the win today. He went six innings striking out two and only giving up the three runs for the Lemurs. Also pitching for the Hogs was Justin Dowdy who struck out two in the eighth and gave up no hits. To close the game was Patrick Mincey who also struck out two and gave up no hits. The last six batters of the game went down 1-2-3 in two consecutive innings.

Grand Prairie and Laredo will meet again for their last game in Grand Prairie Wednesday morning. First pitch is at 11:05 A.M.
