Everett Hawks Choose Cheerleaders

December 21, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL) - Everett Hawks News Release

Everett, WA-Professional indoor football team, Everett Hawks of the NIFL, have chosen eight girls to make the team Cheerleader squad. Daron Fiala, Amber Merzlak, Sheena Orozco, Amy Piasechi, Katie Richland, Leslie Ruppert, Lauren Walters and Ashley Winn have all been selected. The squad will begin practicing and making community appearances on behalf of the team.

“We are looking for women with a mixture of cheerleading and dance skills,” said Ronda Thomas, Director, Cheer Program. Lisa Balmes, VP, Operations/Business Development added, “The squad will be expected to perform on the field during timeouts and half time, as well as throughout the stands and concourse during every play of the game.” “Our sport is very high scoring and fast paced, so we are looking for women with high energy and who are extremely enthusiastic.” The Hawks will hold additional tryouts in January or February to fulfill the 15-16 spots available on the squad.

A bonus Cheerleader spot will be added to the squad by Jeff “The Fish” Aaron, Fishhead listeners of Northsound 1380 AM Radio. Listeners will vote exclusively at Listen weekdays from 3 to 6 pm for additional information.
