(Evansville, Ind. March 9, 2012) - The Evansville Rage hosted the Kentucky Xtreme on Clarion Inn Field last night. The game was attended by a capacity crowd at Swonder Ice Arena. Fans were treated to a high scoring affair with the final score of Rage 56 and the Xtreme 26. Ryan Wells threw for 1 touchdowns. Nate Samas recorded 2 touchdowns passes and one touchdown on the ground. Joe Casey racked up 3 touchdowns on the ground. Dustin Debose added 2 receiving touchdowns. Travis Poitier caught 1 touchdown pass. Matt Robinette played all over the field and had 4 very impressive tackles on special teams and added a touchdown via a pass from Ryan Wells. Kyle Doughtry and Bryan Jensen both were perfect on extra points. Luke Langford blocked one field goal. Dakota Marshal and Jordan Burdue intercepted a pass each. Kelvin Pickett recorded a touchdown on a recovered fumble. Joe Casey gathered player of the game. Matt Robinette was honorable mention for his offensive and special team play.
The Xtreme players who scored were Calvin Ferguson on a four yard rush and two touchdown passes from Alonso Scott. Celvin Pickett scooped up a fumble recovery in the endzone for a defensive score.
