April 5, 2012 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Evansville Rage News Release

(Evansville, Ind. March 20, 2012) - The Evansville Rage look to bounce back after a road loss against the Saginaw Sting, when the Dayton Silverbacks make their inaugural trip to the Clarion Inn field at Swonder Ice Arena. The game will be played at 7:30pm CT on April 7. The game will be broadcasted live via www.wyfxfm.com or over the air at 106.7, Jared Revlett and Chris Cooke will have the call.

This is a must win game for the Rage. After dropping a game to the Saginaw Sing, the Rage must bounce back against the Silverbacks. If they win, they can sit comfortably in second place knowing they won't see the Sting again until the end of the season. This game will decide who will sit in the driver's seat for the second home game in the playoffs.

The Rage will have Samas at quarterback, Tee Wright and Joe Casey will back him up at running back and full back respectively. On the outside Dusten Debose and Matt Robinette will be the starting wide receivers. Anchoring the defensive line will be Dujuan Edmonds and Michael Cupp. New comer Quintin Patilla will make his second start this week at linebacker. Dekota Marshall and Oscar Vasquez-Dyer will stake their claim in the secondary. Kyle Dougherty looks to continue to excel on kickoffs and extra points.

The Dayton Silverbacks are a squad who, for the first time in their history, have started 4-0 and are setting the CIFL on fire. Starting quarterback, Evan Sawyer, has been on great; through four games he has thrown eight touchdowns. He also leads their ground attack with nine touchdowns. Tyler Waller and Bruce Peters lead the team in receptions and touchdowns. Although the offense has a lot of firepower, defense has been the reason that the Silverbacks have gone undefeated through their first four games. Drew Fowler, Mychal Davis and Viterio Jones lead the team in interceptions with three each. The team has accumulated seven sacks with Marcos Anderson leading the team with two individual sacks.

The Rage play in the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL), and play home games on the Clarion Inn field at Swonder Ice Arena. The next home game will be when Dayton comes into town on April 7.
