Evansville BlueCats Announce Schedule for 2006 Season

EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats, a member of United Indoor Football, are pleased to announce the schedule for the upcoming 2006 indoor football season. The regular season for the BlueCats will run from March 25th to July 8th with the playoffs taking place in July. The BlueCats will play their home games at Roberts Stadium.
Last season the BlueCats owned a 6-1 record at home, giving the BlueCats the league's best home winning percentage out of all other teams, making Roberts Stadium the best home field advantage in the UIF.
This season, the BlueCats schedule features home dates with the all three of their UIF East Division counterparts, Lexington, Fort Wayne, and Ohio Valley. Other home games include match-ups featuring the Peoria Rough Riders, Omaha Beef, Rock River Raptors from Rockford, Illinois, and the UIF's newest team, the expansion Bloomington Extreme from Bloomington, Illinois.
The road games feature trips to Ohio Valley, Omaha, Bloomington, Peoria, Lexington, Fort Wayne, and a trip to play the defending UIF National Champion Sioux Falls Storm. Fan bus trips will be planned for all UIF East and Central Division teams.

Evansville BlueCats Owner and President John Voliva said, "We're excited about our 2006 schedule. Overall, it is a much more compact schedule than last year with only one bye week. We have several road games early in the season due to lack of availability at Roberts Stadium. We're excited about the opportunity of renewing our rivalry with Fort Wayne this season, and of course we look forward to playing Lexington. We also get to visit the new US Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, IL. My hats off to the UIF front office and all the hard work that Dakota & Tom Crow put in to putting the schedule together."
