
Evan Gumpert Named Athletic Trainer

Beaumont, TX (October 13, 2006) Texas Wildcatters co-owner and managing partner Rick Adams announced that Evan Gumpert has joined the Wildcatters as the Athletic Trainer. Gumpert is in his 6th year as a certified athletic trainer. Originally from Denver, Colorado, Gumpert has spent the last 3 years in Florida working in the field.
Gumpert received his Masters' degree from the University of Miami and his Bachelors' degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. While at the University of Miami, he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Miami Hurricanes football team, women's soccer, and women's basketball team. In 2005, he worked for the Washington Nationals Baseball Team as an Athletic Trainer for the Rookie Club team in Melbourne, FL. He is certified to teach CPR and First-Aid for the American Red Cross.
The new-look Wildcatters open their third season on October 20 at Florida, before returning to Ford Arena for KFDM Opening Night on Saturday, October 28 against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:05pm.
