
Ethan Roberts Commits to St. Thomas

Springfield, Illinois - The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that goaltender Ethan Roberts has announced his collegiate commitment to the University of St. Thomas!
Roberts, a native of Cary, NC, is in his first season of junior hockey and has had quite a campaign to this point. He's appeared in 28 games for the Jr. Blues and has compiled a 16-8-1 record with a 2.66 GAA, .918 SV%, and 2 shutouts. Roberts was named to Team Midwest at the 2022 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament as well as earning Midwest Division Star of the Week for the week of November 29th-December 5th.
Prior to his time here in Springfield, Roberts played for Nashville Jr. Predators 18U AAA, The Loomis Chaffee School, and the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes. At St. Thomas he will join Jr. Blues alum and former Captain Aaron Swanson who is in his second season for the Tommies.
"Ethan has been a workhorse for us all season long," said Head Coach Tyler Rennette. "St. Thomas is getting an excellent goaltender and we are excited to see what he's able to accomplish at the next level."

Roberts joins Michael Valdez (Colorado College), Fisher Scott (Colorado College), Connor Smith (Union College), Hagen Moe (Bowling Green), and Joey Dosan (Army-West Point) as the sixth player to commit to an NCAA Division 1 program this year.
