Spokane Shock News Release

Former Shock WR/LB Charles "ET" Frederick has signed with the Kansas City Brigade.

Frederick, a former University of Washington Husky, endeared himself to Shock fans with his electrifying style of play and his obvious love for the game. His contributions on offense, defense, and special teams earned him recognition as Spokane's "Ironman of the Year."

Frederick led the Shock with 85 catches for 973 yards and 22 touchdowns receiving in 2006, all team highs. He added 10 more touchdowns on the ground, three on defense and one on special teams. His 36 total touchdowns during the regular season placed him in the top ten in scoring in the league.

Frederick punctuated a highlight-filled regular season with an unforgettable playoff performance, catching the game-winning touchdown with 6 seconds remaining against Bakersfield, then jumpstarting a rout of Arkansas in the Conference Championship game by returning the opening kickoff 54 yards for a touchdown.

"When we signed ET, we knew we weren't likely to keep him around here for long," General Manager Adam Nebeker said. "We're just happy that he was here long enough to help us bring home a championship. We look forward to following his career at the next level."

Frederick will join former Shock Head Coach Chris Siegfried in Kansas City. Siegfried is now the Offensive Coordinator for the Brigade. Frederick becomes the third player in franchise history to sign with an AFL team.
