Erie, Pennsylvania - Erie guards Blake Ahearn and Mike Gansey led the BayHawks to their first win over the Iowa Energy this season as the home team posted a 127-120 victory at the Tullio Arena on Saturday night.

Ahearn, in just his second game with Erie, poured in 32 points and went 6 for 6 from the free throw line in the final thirty seconds of the game to seal the deal. Gansey chipped in a double-double dropping in 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds as Erie improved 14-25.

The duo combined for thirty second quarter points and connected on four three-pointers each in the frame as they brought Erie back from an 8-point deficit to enter halftime tied 66-66.

Erie took the lead for good on a thunderous Jackie Manuel dunk for the final points of the third quarter after the game saw five lead changes in the third frame.

John Bryant added 14 points and 10 rebounds, Cedric Jackson chipped in 25 and Manuel netted 20 for the BayHawks.

Iowa was led by Cartier Martin's 37 points, including 6 of 8 from long range, and Earl Barron's double-double of 23 points and 10 boards as the Energy slipped to 31-10.

The teams completed their ten-game season series with Iowa claiming a 9-1 advantage.
