ERIE, PA - (3/10/09) The Erie RiverRats of the American Indoor Football Association held their final scrimmage Saturday night at the Family First Sports Park. For the coaching staff it was their final opportunity to evaluate players brought into camp before making final cuts on Sunday. After evaluation by the coaching staff the RiverRats are proud to announce their 30-man opening day roster for the 2009 season.

Head coach Steven G. Folmar was proud of the effort during training camp, no matter what the final roster is, "I am very proud of the guys that we brought to camp. These guys have done everything that we have asked of them. No matter what their talent level is. Some of the guys who will be leaving will be missed. But that's not to say that we won't see many of them before this ride is complete."
The Erie RiverRats' season begins March 15th on the road in Baltimore. The team then returns for a home opener scheduled for March 28th at 7 p.m. at the Tullio Arena versus the DC Armor.
