Erie BayHawks Add Anthony "A.J." Mosby

ERIE, PA - The Erie BayHawks, NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club, have added guard Anthony "A.J." Mosby from the available player pool, the team announced today.

Erie adds Mosby as a FIBA Replacement Player, while center Isaac Humphries competes in the FIBA World Cup Qualifier for Australia. Humphries will rejoin the BayHawks following the conclusion of the qualifying games in Kazakhstan.

Mosby (6-3, 160), was selected with the 36th overall pick in the 2018 NBA G League Draft by the Northern Arizona Suns. He saw action in seven games with the Suns, tallying 2.9 points in 9.7 minutes of action. Mosby was waived on Jan. 23, 2019.

The Cartersville, Georgia, native played two years collegiately at Chattahoochee Tech (2014-16), before transferring to Alcorn State (2016-18). In his two seasons at Alcorn State, Mosby appeared in 64 games (62 starts), averaging 12.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.6 minutes (.457 FG%, .394 3FG%, .834 FT%). He led the Southwest Athletic Conference his senior season (2017-18) in field goal percentage, shooting .503 from the floor.

Erie will head to Grand Rapids on Wednesday, Feb. 20 for a match against the Drive, before hosting back-to-back contests this weekend. The BayHawks will change their name to the Erie Wave for Friday's game against the Canton Charge, as part of Erie's Hardwood Classics Night. On Saturday, Feb. 23, the newest member of the NBA G League, the Capital City Go-Go, will make their first trip to Erie Insurance Arena. Tipoff for both games are set for 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at eriebayhawks.com or at the Erie Insurance Arena box office.
