Eric Fannell Named Thunderbirds Player of the Game for Week 22
May 2, 2022 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Halifax Thunderbirds News Release
The Halifax Thunderbirds were able to close out their regular-season slate on a high note, coming from behind to win 13-10 on Saturday night.
Helping the Thunderbirds to their 11th victory of the campaign was forward Eric Fannell, who finished the contest with a goal and seven assists.
The lefty forward opened the contest by assisting on three of the team's first four goals. He'd add another three helpers to give him six assists in the first half alone. In the Thunderbirds' six-goal fourth quarter, Fannell set up Chris Boushy for a goal that gave the team its first lead of the evening before potting his first goal of the game as an insurance marker.
2021-22 saw Fannell have the best season of his NLL career to date. The St. Catharines, Ontario native finished the year with new career highs in goals (17), assists (23), and points (40).
